Following a very long year, or more, when both travel and meeting up have been heavily restricted due to Covid, we were finally able to invite some of our members, following the recent easing of restrictions, to our first group stable visit of the year, here at Newmarket. True, we could have chosen a better day weather-wise but who could have foreseen the recent weather when originally arranged some weeks back. Naturally, our thanks go to both Tom Clover and Charlie Fellowes, and their staff, who made us feel so welcome and of course it was terrific to see three of our horses during the morning.
Our members braved the wind and rain, but we all enjoyed seeing both Balgair, trained by Tom Clover, and Iconique, trained by Charlie Fellowes, out at exercise, and then back at the yards for breakfast and to chat with their respective trainers and, of course, to meet the horses up close and personal!
Having started the morning with Tom at the historic Kremlin House Stables and concluded the day at the equally prestigious Bedford House Stables with Charlie, a terrific morning was had by all and we are very grateful to both Trainers and their staff for the their excellent hospitality!
After some excellent feedback, we can’t wait now, to invite everyone back for our next stable visit very soon! Why don’t you join us…
