Joey Tribbiani
Four time winner over fences including at Aintree.
A 19,000 guinea yearling half brother to Brian Meehan’s Group One and Two placed, Indiana Legend, he was a big lad who never stopped growing and, as a result, didn’t show much early doors and was eventually turned away and given time to grow into his frame. He came back a strong, capable jumper and opened his account over fences in a lowly event at Hereford. Improving all the time, with expert handling, he then won at Huntingdon and on Cliff’s old stomping ground, at Aintree before winning a nice handicap chase at Stratford. Runner up to subsequent Hennessy winner, Madison du Berlais before injured in the Summer Plate and, subsequently, retired.
