Ursa Major

Sweet as a nut off the track, on it a true warrior, winning eleven times.

Ursa Major had already won for Anthony Kelleway when we spotted him entered in a claimer. Having identified his potential to do better than that level, we claimed him and were able to subsequently win eight more races with him which not only included on his favourite surface at Lingfield, where he won three ‘Showcase’ handicaps in a month and over £50,000 in prizemoney but also won at York. A real sweetheart in his box, he was exactly the opposite on the track and was a real joy to own.
