Trainer: Harry Eustace
Details: 2yo Bay Gelding
Our newest recruit is a striking 2yo gelding by multiple Group One winning stallion, Advertise, from a family choc full of stakes winners.
Purchased at the record breaking Tattersalls Guineas Breeze-Up sale at Newmarket, he is by the first season sire, Advertise, a former European champion sprinter, by the pacy Showcasing and the winner of no less than THREE Group One’s including the Phoenix Stakes (Gp 1), as a 2yo and the Commonwealth Cup (Gp 1) at Royal Ascot, as a three year old. He was also an excellent second in the Coventry Stakes (Gp 2), as a juvenile, and filled the same position in the July Cup (Gp 1), at Newmarket, as a 3yo. Already off the mark as a stallion he, coincidentally, had his first 2yo winner on the very same day as we purchased this strong, athletic and most imposing colt. He really is a handsome chap!

He has been sent into training with one of the country’s most successful young trainers in Harry Eustace who, in a very short space of time has quickly established himself as one of the brightest young talents in the business. Son of former trainer James Eustace, a Group One winning trainer and firmly established at one of the most historic yards in Newmarket at Park Lodge Stables, he has a very bright future ahead of him, indeed, and Harry who recently saddled his second Royal Ascot winner in Docklands, is both thrilled and excited to have received this powerful son of Advertise.

Our handsome 2yo is out of a nice Shamardal mare, Beautiful Gesture who, herself, cost over 100,000 Guineas as a yearling and was trained by Karl Burke though unfortunately, she suffered an injury as a 3yo and was subsequently retired to stud. She is from a prolific family being a sister to no less than SEVEN winners including black type performers, Pleasure Gains and Sarinda who, herself, was the dam of Tom Clover’s Listed placed, Zain Sarinda, who out of interest was just a head behind Grand Alliance in the Epsom Derby trial in 2022 when they were second and third. There are many, many more stakes winners in the extended family that includes such superstars as Rock of Gibraltar…
A big, strong, robust sort described as bomb-proof by Dave Mulholland, who runs the pre-training yard that prepares horses for most of the top trainers in Bury Road and several other top Newmarket yards including Harry, himself. Our 2yo spent some time there winding down from the Breeze Ups which can tend to get these youngsters rather ‘buzzed up’ but the tranquil environment that surrounds them soon has the horses nice and relaxed again. However, while this fellow has a great mind, Harry felt he would definitely benefit from being gelded and, as a result, we took the opportunity to carry out this procedure while he was still at the prep stage, undoubtedly saving a little time, in the process.
Now, with only one focus in life, the son of Advertise has really thrived since and now, with the ability to focus only on the job in hand, the trainer is really pleased and excited at the outcome. He has since made the move to Park Lodge Stables with Harry Eustace, where preparations for the racecourse have begun…

Harry has been very pleased with his progress, and both himself and the staff handling him on a day to day basis have all commented on his great attitude and kind nature. The 2yo also impressed owners at our recent stable visit held at Park Lodge Stables (see video below). You really need to come and see him to appreciate what a beast he is and we’re now looking forward immensely to seeing him make his mark in the back end 2yo events where invariably the bigger stables unleash their later maturing, quality 2yos. He is a really exciting sort and we cant recommend him or his Trainer highly enough. If you would like to get involved with this highly promising sort, please get in touch to arrange a viewing at Park Lodge Stables.
