Balgair WINS the Amateur Jockey’s Cambridgeshire!

Balgair WINS the Amateur Jockey’s Cambridgeshire!

Congratulations to all Owners and Members!

Balgair, the 6yo trained by Tom Clover, duly landed the amateur riders Cambridgeshire at Newmarket today by an impressive SIX lengths under Ross Birkett, who gave him an excellent ride.

The plan to step him up in trip came into fruition today as Balgair travelled smoothly throughout the race and as the leaders tired, Balgair got stronger and cruised into the lead at the two pole before bounding up the hill to win six lengths clear of Biotic with favourite Geranium, from the same family as Balgair, in third.

A great job done by Tom Clover and the Kremlin House Stables team. Credit too, to Ross Birkett who gave Balgair the perfect ride!

We are now looking forward to what may be next for Balgair – and the potential for another race during the Cambridgeshire meeting next week!

If you are interested in becoming an Owner before then, you can find out more here.
